Jacuzzi: More than a bathtub

I got a much wanted, but not needed Dr. Pepper out of the garage fridge.
Popped that top...ahhhh...feel the burn.
The below freezing temps outside are assisting the fridge in it's job.
Slush...Dr. Pepper slush...yum.
As the carbonation blazed a path down my throat,
I felt a new sensation...one I didn't think about as I quenched the addiction.
Cold...more cold..."Oh NO!" I don't need more cold...I'm frozen as it is!
But, I want the preliminary burn...but, I don't want to be cold.
Oh the turmoil, the ambivalence...the indecision.
Another drink...
had to be done.
Mmmmm....tasty.
Brrrrrr!
Shiver.
I began moving slowly...seemed my arms were not wanting to mind my
brains instructions. Uh huh...now my legs are joining in the rebellion.
What the heck?!
Then it hit me.....
just like this yummy concoction I was pouring into my system...cold and slushy,
my blood was doing the same.
No really...I'm just almost sure, my blood had enough.
Enough winter.
Enough freezing rain, freezing fog, sleet, ice and snow...I was turning into a snowman!!
I threw the empty can into the trash, trying to think of how to save myself from this
impending doom!
What now?? I felt my nose...is it a carrot? My eyes...lumps of coal? (who uses coal?)
A scarf had suddenly appeared around my neck and my arms were sticks!!
I tried to cry out but it was then I realized ... there was a stinkin' pipe in my mouth!!
I knew what had to be done...I began sloshing forward, and the top hat on my head toppled off.
I was leaving a watery trail (those of you that know me, know that is not to unusual).
To the JACUZZI!!
It was difficult to turn the faucets, with the stick hands and all.
But I was determined...when the tub of delicious warm water was full,
I toppled into my winter tub of solace.
Yeah! take that Thief of Summer...Stealer of Heat....Robber of Warmth...
I beat you once again!
Note to self: take slushy DP to the jacuzzi before opening or maybe make that a Merlot...;)

A coke for me does the same thing, but I do notice these days that it isn't as enjoyable as before...the coke is cold, I am cold, my feet are cold, my body wants to be warm! But, I will remember these days in July when I am 9 months pregnant and HOT! Are we ever happy with the weatherman? And what about that dang Punxsutawney Phil? I am ready for Spring!!!!
